Korea Bacteriophage Research Society Open
On June 22, 2018, The 6th Korea Bacteriophage Research Society meeting was held at the iNtRON Bio’s conference room.
40 prominent bacteriophage researchers and related industry specialists have participated in the meeting, and Professor Yong of Yonsei University, Professor Bae of Seoul National University, and Research Director Kang of iNtRON Biotechnolgy made the presentations.
Professor Yong made a presentation about the utility of the bacteriophage on MDR (Multi-drug resistance) bacteria infection, and Professor Bae talked about the potential and industry trend of the use of bacteriophage on food poisoning and food safety area. In addition Director Kang discussed about the recent achievements of iNtRON Bio’s bacteriophage and endolysin R&D programs.
Through the Q&A section, participants discussed about global MDR issues and shared the academic performance made in the academia and relevant industry, then had an in depth discussion regarding potential applicable area.
